Parabens are a group of chemical compounds that are widely used as preservatives, especially in cosmetics.

Health concerns of parabens include their potential to mimic the hormone oestrogen which is known to contribute to the incidence of some cancers.  Companies who use these as preservatives argue that they are probably safe in small amounts.

Our approach is 'probably', is not safe enough and why use these when there are natural ingredients that can do the job just as well?

There are too many incidents of products that were thought to be safe in the past that have actually caused many health issues.  Think of asbestos and thalidomide....

Better to be safe than sorry.
